Lyudmila Bragina is a world famous producer and organizer of ballet performances. She has served as a Director of the National Ballet of St. Petersburg since 2007. She is an Honorable Member of the European Academy of Natural Sciences, a Knight of "The Silver Cross of the St. George Union", and a diplomat of the competition "Woman of the Year 2009, 2010", in the category of culture.

Since 1991, she has engaged in organizing ballets at the Imperial Hermitage Theater in St. Petersburg, as well as other renowned theaters. She organizes tours of the National Theatre Ballet St. Petersburg around the world. Over the past 20 years she has organized over 5000 ballets of the Russian classical repertoire and more than 30 world tours.

She was awarded government awards for outstanding contribution to cultural development in Russia. She pays close attention to the development of interest in the art of ballet in the world thereby promoting cultural values. One of her work priorities is to support social programs – providing free tickets for physically impaired people to attend ballet performances, concentration camp prisoners, child care centers, social and leisure centers, sport as well as theater veterans thereby ensuring people from all walks of life may experience the joy of world class ballet performances.

Another major contribution of Lyudmila Bragina’s contribution to ballet is her identifying and training new ballet stars. She oversees graduate student performances of the Academy of Russian Ballet and organizes master classes for children and the future stars of Russian ballet. Lyudmila Bragina’s aim is to preserve the unique spirit and traditions of the Mariinsky (Kirov) Theater. During a recent tour of the southeastern United States, Lyudmila organized free Master Classes for young students in five states and fourteen cities introducing a standard of teaching professionalism never before seen in the United States.

She insists on the constant improvement of professionalism of artists, while preserving the original choreography in productions. Lyudmila Bragina successfully implements these tasks and organizes memorable ballets that are a real treat for spectators while providing life long memories of classical ballet performances.
