Biography
Marat Shemiunov was born in St. Petersburg in 1983.
1993 – 2001 Marat studied at the Vaganova Ballet Academy (class of professor Y. Tsvetkov).
Upon graduation Marat was accepted into the troupe of the Mussorgsky Ballet and Opera Theater, Saint Petersburg, Russia.
In 2003 Marat became a prize winner of the International Rieti (Italy).
Since 2007 Marat has been performed as a guest soloist of ballet performances presented by Theatre Agency "SoyuzSportTheatre".
Shemiunov regularly performs the principal roles in Swan Lake, Don Quixote, The Nutcracker and other classical ballets in Russia, Europe and Asia.
In 2005 Marat underwent training with the Universal Ballet Company (South Korea).
2005 – Marat took part in the Gala Concert of the II International Festival of Ballet Art in Ulan-Ude.
2006 – Marat performed the part of Creon in Antigone staged by the Rebecca Davis Dance Company (USA).
2006, April – Participant of the Sergey Lifar Competition (Kiev, Ukraine).
