Biography
Yury was born in 1971 in Tallinn, Estonia.
In 1991 he graduated from the Vaganova Ballet Academy (class of National Artist G. Semenov)
Yury is a winner of a special prize “For Inspirational Performance of the unique choreographic short dances” at the R. Nureyev Ballet Festival.
1991-1996 he was a leading soloist with the Mariinsky Theater.
1997-2000 he was a leading soloist with the St. Petersburg State Opera and Ballet Theater of the St. Petersburg rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory (Troupe of professor Dolgushin).
2000-2001 he was a leading soloist with the Ballet Israel, Israel.
2001-2003 he performed with the L. Jacobson St. Petersburg State Academic Ballet Theater as a leading soloist.
2003-2004 he performed with the Russian Imperial Ballet directed by Ì. Plisetskaya and G.Taranda as a soloist.
In 2002 he joined the Hermitage Ballet as a soloist.
